Disney Clothes

I was looking at the Disney Store online and got so excited when I saw all of the princess outfits you can buy! They are sooo freaking cute!!

I want someone in my family to have a girl while I am away so I can buy these and give them to her when she is old enough!

There isn't any news on the Disney front. Only 204 days until I start work in Orlando and it cannot come soon enough! Will update with Disney news when as it comes :)

It's not goodbye, it's see you later...

Hey Hey! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and New Years! It's 2012!!! This was me, my sister and brother on New Years...

I am the super short one haha (Like my pink Kardashian Kollection bag? I love it!!) On a more serious note...

Reading the blogs of the people from the January intake made me a little nervous...
They were all posting about how hard it was to say goodbye and it made me think about leaving in August. I had moved out of home three years ago so I am used to living in a different country to my family, but the idea of being on the other side of the world for a year scares me a little. It is always super fast to get home as NZ is next door to Australia so it hasn't been a "Oh my god, I don't live in the same country as my family." The other thing that scares me is being that far away on my birthday and Christmas. That will suck I think!

The whole saying goodbye to friends thing also sucks - although I have had plenty of practise at it. I live on campus at uni so there are always people coming and going. The sucky part about that is when you get close to someone and then you don't know when you will see them again as you come from different part of the world. This has happened to me a few times. I don't think that this will make it easier though to completely pack up my life and move to the other side of the world for a year! It is super scary but also super exciting!

I have always liked the saying "It's not goodbye, it's see you later" so that is what I am going to tell myself when August comes!

Peace out until next time :)

Introductions!

Hey Hey!

My name is Melissa and I am 21 years of age. I recently got accepted into the Disney International College Program and I start in August! :) Super excited!! I thought I would start a blog and write about what is happening between now and then!

I applied for the program because a friend of mine got accepted (visit his blog: http://disneyworld2012.blogspot.com) and I thought it sounded exciting. So Kristen and I applied for it, got interviews (which I was super nervous about and freaked out about the night before) and were accepted. I received my acceptance email at around 3am or 4am - Kristen was awake and she called me to check my emails. I then had to call my mother to share the news (she lives in NZ so she was 3 hours ahead so she was awake). I was so excited! So starting August I get to take a year off uni and move to the U S of A!!!

The positions I got are Quick Service F&B and Operations. Excited about both of them but nervous about having to deal with American money... Hopefully I get the hang of it quickly!

I don't have much to write at this stage but I plan to keep this updated about Disney and non-Disney related things so keep checking back :)

♥ Melissa
